To propel this momentum forward, we are actively seeking a highly skilled Director of Digital Marketing. 

As the Director of Digital Marketing, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and execution of various digital marketing projects and campaigns. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with company objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong Digital Marketing and leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for driving results through innovative marketing strategies.

Department: Marketing

Reports to: Senior Vice President of Marketing

Pay Range: $75,000 - $95,000 Annually

Location: Orlando, FL

Travel: Potential travel up to 15% with some out-of-state travel to our Atlanta location

Key Objectives

  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, drive traffic to our theme parks, and boost ticket sales.
  • Manage and optimize digital advertising campaigns across various platforms, including but not limited to social media, search engines, and display networks.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the company's website, ensuring it remains user-friendly, up-to-date, and optimized for search engines (SEO). Confirm ADA compliance for the website.
  • Supervise the creation of engaging digital content, including social media posts, videos, and interactive experiences, to attract and engage our target audience.
  • Direct reputation management efforts related to online ratings, listings and directories, ensuring content is up-to-date.
  • Establish comprehensive tracking and reporting for digital initiatives, including establishing benchmarks, KPIs and campaign and annual goals for performance.
  • Analyze key metrics and performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including traditional, creative, operations, and sales, to ensure alignment and integration of digital marketing initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital marketing to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Digital Strategy Development and Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Oversee the execution of digital marketing initiatives across various channels, including social media, email, and online advertising.
  • Continuously refine strategies based on performance metrics, market trends, and business goals.

Digital Advertising Management:

  • Manage digital advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google, social media channels, and programmatic advertising.
  • Optimize ad targeting, creative assets, and budget allocation to maximize ROI and achieve campaign objectives.
  • Stay updated on digital advertising best practices and emerging trends to drive innovation and effectiveness.

Website Management and Optimization:

  • Oversee the management and optimization of company websites to enhance user experience and drive conversions.
  • Collaborate with web developers and designers to implement SEO best practices, improve site performance, and ensure mobile responsiveness.
  • Utilize analytics tools to track website performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization strategies.

Content Creation and Management:

  • Lead the development of engaging and relevant digital content across platforms, including website, social media, and email.
  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all digital channels.
  • Implement content calendars and workflows to streamline content creation and publishing processes.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of digital marketing performance metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate key insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize strategies, tactics, and resource allocation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, operations, and food and beverage to align digital marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing to drive integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Industry Research and Innovation:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital marketing.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Experiment with new digital marketing tactics and technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

Qualifications

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, a related field; and or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience (7 years) in digital marketing, with a focus on strategy development, advertising, content creation and analytics.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and platforms, including social media (Hootsuite, Sprout Social), search engine marketing, email marketing, and content management systems.
  • Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager).
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making and optimize marketing performance.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends and leveraging new technologies.
  • Compliance with Fun Spot America's drug-free workplace policy, including consent to pre-employment drug testing and adherence to federal, state, and local laws regarding drug and alcohol use.
  • Successfully undergo a comprehensive background check

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
